While conventional touch screens have enabled widespread use of self-service kiosks, COVID-19 has highlighted the risk of germ contamination from touch surfaces. A touchless interaction solution was needed that was not only hygienic but could also be implemented quickly and cost-effectively using ordinary cameras.
